Polystyrene(PS)

Polystyrene (PS) is a synthetic aromatic polymer made from the monomer styrene, a liquid petrochemical. Polystyrene can be rigid or foamed. Polystyrene is one of the most widely used plastics, the scale of its production being several billion kilograms per year.
Polystyrene (PS) can be divided into 2 types as follows:

General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS)

General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) General characteristics /Features:

    • High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS)

    High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) General characteristics /Features:

  • Excellent impact resistance and mechanical properties.
  • Excellent modability & colorability.
  • Base color stability.
  • Low residual monomer.
  • Easy processing.
  • Good heat resistance & High impact strength.
  • Applicable for food packing materials and toys due to adequacy with food hygiene regulations.

    • Application

  • Electrical parts, Frame of TV, air conditioner, computers.
  • Toys, Sanitary wares, Office supplies.
  • Plastic Cup and Tray,
  • Etc.
